The Manna Black Tie & Apron Event - Sharing Our Pandemic Year Journey With You!
March 13th, 2021 | 5:00pm - 6:30pm
What a year it's been! At Manna Community Kitchen, we've seen firsthand the devastating effects of this pandemic. Food insecurity is at record high levels in this community and in communities across the country (and throughout the world!). As hard as that is to see, nutritious and delicious food is what we do and we have been so fortunate to be able to meet the heightened need thanks in large part to our donors.
Manna Community Kitchen wants to play a larger role in combating food insecurity in this community - combating the stigma associated with it, combating the lack of nutritious and delicious food available to those in need, combating the lack of respect and dignity extended to those experiencing it. We are working with other agencies providing services to those in need in the community and are hopeful that those relationships will help connect us even more with those who could benefit from our meals.
The Manna Black Tie & Apron Event will provide more information about who we are, what we do, and our plans for the future (for example, have you heard about the Community Warming Center we're opening in February?). We'll have some wonderful local entertainers providing music, delicious appetizers from Blue Door Gatherings, and tasty dessert made by our own Lee Anderson. We'll also be introducing you to some people who mean a lot to Manna and to whom Manna means a lot. Oh, and we'll be providing the black tie and apron! And you'll be able to enjoy it all in your own space via Zoom!
We really hope that you'll join us for our special event! You'll be supporting a truly worthy cause - helping those who are food insecure in our community!
Your ticket to our Black Tie & Apron event includes:
Access to the Zoom event
Party kit consisting of: one black bowtie, one Manna apron, *appetizers from Blue Door Gatherings, and *dessert made by Lee Anderson himself (Executive Director and Chef of Manna) *single servings
You'll be able to pick up your party kit at Edwards Church (297 Main St., Northampton) on Saturday, March 13 from 11:00am - 2:00pm.
Looking forward to having you join us,
This event is a way for us to let the community know about our efforts to address food insecurity. It's also an event to raise money so that we can continue to do what we do and even more. We welcome anyone to join us for this event! If you are able to purchase a ticket, that's great. If you're able to sponsor a ticket for someone who can't afford to pay, that's much appreciated. If you aren't able to afford a ticket but want to join us, we would love to have you. There is a ticket option available for everyone!
